    Creamy Chicken Macaroni Soup

    Indulge in the rich and comforting flavors of this creamy chicken macaroni soup, a perfect pairing with crispy grilled cheese sandwiches.

    Ingredients:

    • 4 pre-cooked chicken thighs, chopped
    • 2 1/2 cups elbow macaroni pasta
    • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
    • 6 cups of water
    • 6 teaspoons of granulated chicken bouillon
    • 2 tablespoons of finely chopped chives
    • 2 tablespoons of onion powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 2 tablespoons self-rising flour
    • 2 cups of milk

    Instructions:

    In a large stockpot, bring 6 cups of water and 6 teaspoons of granulated chicken bouillon to a boil. Add chives, onion powder, garlic powder, and seasoning salt. Cook for 6 minutes.

    Add the elbow macaroni pasta, cover, and boil for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the chopped chicken.

    In a separate skillet, melt the butter and add the self-rising flour, stirring until smooth. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted. 

    Add the cheese sauce to the cooked macaroni and chicken mixture. Stir well.

    Serve in bowls and savor the delicious flavors of this cheesy chicken macaroni soup.
