    Pasta Aglio e Olio

    Pasta aglio e olio is a delectable dish that is both simple to prepare and easy on the wallet.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 pound of spaghetti
    • 1/2 cup of canola oil or olive oil
    • 2 garlic cloves, minced, plus 2 cloves, sliced
    • 1 large pinch of crushed red pepper flakes 
    • Seasoning salt to taste
    • Parsley, chopped for garnish
    • 4 quarts of water to cook the pasta
    • A pinch of salt for the water

    Instructions:

    To start, bring a large pot of water to a boil and season with a pinch of salt. Add the spaghetti and cook until it is al dente, then drain the water.

    Meanwhile, in a deep pan, heat the canola oil or olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced and sliced garlic, red pepper flakes, and seasoning salt. Cook until the garlic turns a golden brown hue.

    Add the cooked spaghetti to the pan and toss until it is evenly coated with the oil mixture.

    Garnish the dish with chopped parsley and serve with grated cheese.
