    Cinnamon-puffed squares

    Indulge in the delectable taste of these cinnamon-puffed squares, perfect for serving as a delightful snack or a satisfying dessert. The harmonious blend of cinnamon, granulated Splenda or sugar, and butter creates a flavor that is sure to please your sweet cravings.

    Ingredients:

    • 2 cups of self-rising flour
    • 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
    • 1/2 to 2/3 cup of granulated Splenda or sugar (adjust to taste)
    • 1 1/2 cups of milk
    • 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
    • 2 tablespoons of melted butter

    Additional ingredients for topping:

    • 4 to 6 tablespoons of melted butter
    • 1/2 cup of granulated Splenda or sugar
    • 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon

    Instructions:

    In a medium bowl, combine the self-rising flour, ground cinnamon, and granulated Splenda or sugar.

    Add in the milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Mix until a dough forms, using a wooden spoon or your hands to knead.

    Sprinkle the countertop with flour.

    Roll out the dough thinly, as it will puff up when baked. Sprinkle with additional flour if needed.

    Transfer the dough to a cookie tray. Then cut the dough into squares and brush with melted butter.

    Mix granulated Splenda or sugar with ground cinnamon and generously sprinkle over the buttered dough.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the desired texture is achieved.

    Allow the squares to cool slightly, then transfer them to a bowl and sprinkle with more cinnamon, splenda, or sugar if desired.
