A strong storm system continues to impact the Sacramento region, with isolated thunderstorms expected to bring brief heavy rain, small hail, and lightning, particularly in the northern areas. The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the Park Fire burn scar, which remains in effect until 7 PM today due to the risk of debris flows.

Rainfall totals have ranged between 0.10 and 0.90 inches in the northern Sacramento Valley, with more isolated thunderstorms possible this afternoon. Starting Sunday, a quick warm-up is expected, with temperatures climbing back near 100 degrees and breezy conditions developing.

By mid-week, near to slightly above-normal temperatures will return, with the potential for late-day thunderstorms in the Sierra by next weekend.
