The National Weather Service in Phoenix reports that Arizona will experience above-normal temperatures this week, with moderate heat risk in lower desert areas.

Following a period of cooler temperatures and spotty showers, moisture levels are expected to drop today, with significant drying across most of the state. While some spotty showers and storms may continue in eastern Arizona, the majority of the region will remain dry.

Temperatures are set to climb back to or above normal by Tuesday, with central Phoenix reaching highs around 109°F. The state is on track to see a possible record number of days with temperatures exceeding 110°F.

A slight cooling trend is anticipated midweek with the return of some moisture, potentially bringing a chance of isolated storms. However, conditions are expected to dry out again as the Labor Day Weekend approaches.
