Nevada Labor Day Weekend Boating Alert: Thunderstorms and Gusty Winds Expected

This Labor Day weekend, boaters in the Las Vegas area should brace for challenging conditions. The U.S. National Weather Service warns of isolated-to-scattered showers and thunderstorms today, mainly affecting Mohave County and the mountainous regions of southern Nevada and southeastern California.

An outflow boundary moving in from the east is likely to bring gusty winds and heightened thunderstorm activity to local lakes. As a result, boating conditions at all three major lakes are deemed "POOR" today, with potential thunderstorms and strong winds posing risks.

However, conditions are expected to improve for the latter half of the weekend. Boaters should remain cautious and stay updated on weather reports for safer navigation.
