    Pickleball tournament happening Saturday in San Angelo, here's where to sign up

    A mixed doubles pickleball tournament is happening this Saturday in San Angelo hosted by the Alcohol & Drug Awareness Center for the Concho Valley.

    The elimination pickleball tournament will take place at the YMCA at 353 S. Randolph Street on Saturday, kicking off at 9 a.m. It will continue until the champions are crowned.

    This event will feature two competitive brackets: novice/intermediate and advanced.

    "Whether you're new to the game or a seasoned player, there's a spot for you in this action-packed tournament," according to a news release. "The excitement doesn’t stop there. Winners from each bracket will take home top-of-the-line Selkirk Paddles — the ultimate prize for any pickleball enthusiast."

    Participants who complete a survey during the event will be entered into a raffle drawing for more pickleball goods.

    Visit www.adaccv.org to print off the registration form and then email your completed form to gilbertm@adaccv.org . Anyone interested can also pick up a registration form at 3553 W. Houston Harte.

    "The Concho Valley CARES Coalition has been a coalition of the Alcohol & Drug Awareness Center for the Concho Valley (ADACCV) a nonprofit 501c3, for over a decade," the release stated. "CV Cares was formed in 2007, with the mission to reduce substance use through community effort, focusing on youth and it collaborates with agencies and individuals from 12 sectors of our community."
