    Man deceased after motorcycle crash in San Angelo

    A 20-year-old in San Angelo is deceased after a motorcycle crash on Saturday.

    The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday on East Loop 306, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

    Matthew Hansen, 20, of San Angelo was driving a 2021 Kawasaki motorcycle. He was wearing a helmet.

    "Preliminary crash investigation revealed that (the motorcycle) was traveling at a high rate of speed," according to the DPS. "Due to the high rate of speed, the driver lost control, ran off the roadway into the median and was ejected onto the pavement."

    He was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Staceye Speck.

    Weather conditions were clear and roads were dry.

    The crash was investigated by Texas Highway Patrol Trooper Alejandro Morante of the San Angelo.
