Dartagnan Farms in Goshen offers food and fun while giving back to nature

Step into the boots of local farmers that put their passion for the environment into practice in Goshen. Dartagnan Farms is a 15-acre farm that gives back to the land that helps it flourish and provides workshops for kids. The All for One, One for All is a project under Dartagnan Farms Foundation founded in 2019 by Alix Daguin and her mother. "We're a nonprofit regenerative silvo pasture farm," says Daguin. This means they farm with trees– about 2,000 of them to form this symbiotic relationship. The trees provide for the farm and farmers provide for the trees by leaving a lighter ecological footprint. It's a message Daguin hopes will resonate with visitors through the workshops, the food and the tours the farm offers. Kids get a hands-on experience of the importance of local biodiversity. Other activities, like picking fresh fruits and vegetables, help reinforce the benefits of working with nature. Adults can get also get in on the fun- the new distillery serves up special twists to mint mojitos and spiked teas with liquors from what's harvested at the farm. "
