Bloomington man arrested after attempting to attack two women
BLOOMINGTON — A Bloomington man was arrested for attempted rape after following a woman around in a wooded area of Bloomington. The Bloomington Police Department was dispatched to the 1000 block of East Hillside Drive on a report of a female screaming, “Get off me” and “Help” from a wooded area.
5-year-old found dead in apartment pool outside of Bloomington July 13
A five-year-old male child died after being found unresponsive in the Woodland Springs Apartment Pool, according to a Monroe County Sheriff’s Office media release July 13. Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the apartment, located at 3111 S. Leonard Springs Road, around 7:15 p.m. that day, where medical and fire personnel were actively performing CPR on the child. The child was transported to IU Health Bloomington but was pronounced dead at the hospital.
