B.A.S.S. Nation Qualifier PLATTSBURGH — Get ready for an adrenaline packed event as the B.A.S.S. Nation Qualifier comes to Plattsburgh from July 24-26. The three-day fishing event, hosted by the City of Plattsburgh and the Adirondack Coast Visitors Bureau, will feature bass fishing pros and co-anglers, competing for $70,000 in total payouts. Launching at 6 a.m. daily at the Plattsburgh Waterfront, weigh-ins will begin at 2 p.m. daily at the marina. Fans are encouraged to attend the event to cheer on their favorite anglers. What's Going Up: 100 new permanently affordable homes and apartments in Shelburne
A new neighborhood is coming to Shelburne, with nearly 100 affordable homes and apartments. The Champlain Housing Trust and Evernorth are joining forces to build Bay Ridge on the former site of the Harbor Place Motel, which CHT purchased in 2013 and used to provide rooms to people experiencing homelessness. The motel also served as a COVID-19 quarantine and isolation site for the State of Vermont, beginning in March 2020.
