Kennedale police warn residents of phone scam posing as officers
KENNEDALE, Texas — The Kennedale Police Department has issued a warning about a phone scam in which individuals are posing as police officers and demanding money. According to a press release from the department, a complaint was received over the weekend about a person identifying themselves as a "Sergeant with the Kennedale Police Department" who called and asked for money to pay off a "warrant." The department emphasized that it does not call individuals to demand or ask for payment, which is handled through the Municipal Court and not over the phone.
