On Saturday, July 13, The Garage Bar & Grill will hold a Celebration of Life for Amillier Penn, a 15-year-old shot and killed while playing football in early June , and raise awareness about the unsolved crime.

Starting with remarks and prayers at noon, there will be a free taco bar hosted by owner, Kevin Farhat. The public is invited and encouraged to donate to the GoFundMe that was set up for the family.

Anyone with information about what happened to Amillier should call Grand Rapids Police at 616-456-3308 or reach out to Silent Observer , which is currently offering a $3,200 reward.

**Please note a previous version of this article stated the event was intended to be a fundraiser to increase the Silent Observer reward for information leading to an arrest in the hopes of encouraging someone to come forward. We have since learned that information was announced in error.
