Hoop weaving, an art class at NWFA
Create your own unique hoop weaving, using several different types of yarn and wool roving. “Roving”— “To twist fibers together and draw out into a strand (roving) before spinning.” Supplies are included for the class. Kathy Lovgren’s students will also learn four different yarn manipulations, making a lovely design in a 12” wooden hoop. The cotton warp threads will already be strung. There will be many colors of yarn and charms to use during class on Friday, July 19 beginning at 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Northwoods Friends of the Arts, 210 S. River St. next to DreamWeaver Salon...
