The Green Bay Packers surprised a lot of people with how they performed in 2023. Quarterback Jordan Love looked great in his first season as the starter, taking over for the legendary Aaron Rodgers.

Last season, there were likely a few opponents that the Green Bay Packers caught off guard. For the first half of the season, they were struggling to consistently produce. Teams could have let their guard down, thinking an easier game was on tap.

After earning a Wild Card spot and winning a playoff game, no one is going to have their guard down when facing off against the Green Bay Packers in 2024. Expectations are on the rise and teams won’t be taking them lightly.

With a full season of film to now diagnose, teams will have a better idea of how to combat an explosive Packers offense. Potentially the youngest team in the NFL for a second straight season, adjustments will have to be made.

Jordan Love didn’t give away any of the game plan but did confirm that new designs are being put in for Year 2. With a year of experience under his belt, head coach Matt LaFleur and the coaching staff can start opening things up even more this season.

“We know going into this year teams are going to have a better feel of what we do, what we did good,” Love said this offseason. “That’s their job — to try to figure out how to stop that. I think that’s the fun part about the NFL.

“At the end of the day, we’ve got a very good coaching staff that’s going to put us in the best position, and we’ll also be able to adjust to what defenses might be doing and taking away from us, and we’ll learn on the fly.”

One thing that the Green Bay Packers have working in their favor is continuity. Running back Aaron Jones and right guard Jon Runyan Jr. are the only players from the starting lineup in 2023 who aren’t returning.

Josh Jacobs is replacing Jones in the backfield, while the offensive line competition will be worth watching all offseason in Green Bay. The configuration could be different, but at least three players will be holdovers from last season if not four.

That should all result in another big season for Jordan Love. An ascending quarterback in the league entering Year 5 with the Green Bay Packers, the sky is the limit for the Utah State product.
