Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams created something special in Green Bay. Playing eight years together, they connected for 669 completed passes, 8,121 yards, and 73 touchdowns for the Packers. Now, Rodgers is with the New York Jets, and Adams is on the Las Vegas Raiders , and given the different moments of each franchise, it's natural to think about a reconnection.

On Shannon Sharpe's podcast , Davante highlighted he still wants to be a part of the Raiders organization. But if eventually that changes, playing with Rodgers again would be 'amazing.'

"I'll answer like this, if I'm going to be reunited with anybody, it would be Aaron, okay? But or be, you know, relocated, and be anywhere it would be with Aaron," Adams said. "The thought of playing with Aaron is obviously amazing. I already know what that's like, which was similar to why I came here and reunited with Derek (Carr), was because I had familiarity with him."

Davante Adams was traded from the Packers to the Raiders in 2022 for first- and second-round picks. At that time, he received a five-year contract. Even though several factors have changed since his arrival in Las Vegas, including the quarterback, Adams ultimately says he doesn't intend to leave — and the frequent rumors about it bother him to a certain degree.

"There was a lot of that stuff going on last year in the media and them asking, you know, 'What are you going to do about this? Are you thinking about going here?', and they talk about whatever without me even being involved in," Adams added. "It ended up getting all the way to the point where it got in the locker room, and people was thinking that it was, you know, I was putting it out there to force (a trade). And I'm like, 'Y'all just don't understand, man.' I hate to say it like this because it makes me sound like I'm trying to put myself on a pedestal. But when you're the level, a certain level of player, it doesn't have to come from you. And most of the time it's not coming from you."

    Two sides

Basically, Davante Adams is locked in with the Raiders, even considering that their starting quarterback in 2024 will be the winner of a battle between Gardner Minshew and Aidan O'Connell. If for some reason that changes eventually, going to the Jets would be a strong consideration.

"I'm locked in with the Raiders, and I really feel good about this team. As far as I know, they feel good about me," Davante said. "If that ever changes, that got to a point where they weren't feeling the same way, I ain't done playing, so obviously we will figure out whatever we needed to figure out."

The Jets have brought in several people close to Aaron Rodgers since last year — including fellow former Packers receivers Allen Lazard, who's still on the roster, and Randall Cobb, who's now a free agent.

Adams, Lazard, and Cobb were three of the top four receivers the Packers had in 2021 — the other one was Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who signed with the Buffalo Bills this offseason after winning two championships with the Kansas City Chiefs.
