Football is finally back to Lambeau Field. On Saturday at 7pm CT, the Green Bay Packers do their traditional Family Night , an open practice to over 80,000 people in Green Bay. There will actually be a cool wrinkle this year.

The Packers have announced that the team's official website will broadcast the practice for non-local TV markets, which means it's a special opportunity for fans from other places to watch the activity.

"For fans not attending the event, a statewide telecast will be available on various local and Packers TV Network stations. The stations broadcasting the event include WACY-TV (Channel 32) in Green Bay and WPXE-TV (Channel 55) in Milwaukee, as well as WAOW-TV in Wausau, WKOW-TV in Madison, WXOW-TV in La Crosse, WQOW-TV in Eau Claire, KQDS-TV in Duluth-Superior and ELUC-TV in Escanaba-Marquette. The event will also be televised on KWWL-TV and WHBF-TV in Iowa; KATN-TV, KYUR-TV and KJUD-TV in Alaska; and KSFY-TV in Sioux Falls, SD. For fans outside of these viewing areas who want to follow along, the event will be livestreamed on packers.com."

And if you will follow the practice, these are the three players to watch:

    Javon Bullard

The Packers selected Bullard in the second round to fill an obvious void at safety. There has been intense competition at the position throughout training camp, but it's hard to find someone more motivated and effective early on than Bullard.

"I ain't gonna lie, I don't even like the word 'comfortable.' No disrespect, but I don't really like that word," Bullard said. "Especially in this profession, because the second you get comfortable, somebody's got your job. And I don't even have a job yet."

Xavier McKinney is the only safety with a safe starting spot. Bullard, Evan Williams, and Anthony Johnson Jr. are competing to play alongside him. Family Night will be the first time the two rookies do an activity under the NFL lights, so it's a good test to see how they go.

    Jordan Morgan

Talking about rookies, first-round pick Jordan Morgan has established himself practice after practice. After moving throughout the offensive line during rookie minicamp and OTAs, Morgan has been solidified at the right guard spot . And after a couple of weeks, it seems like he is the new starter over Sean Rhyan.

"When you look at the big picture, kind of where you think he would compete best this year for a starting role, we looked and thought the right guard position was the spot," said Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich last Monday. "There's a learning progression. I think he's done a really good job so far."

Playing against an aggressive defensive front from the interior, Morgan will have a good opportunity to show his value protecting Jordan Love.

    Eric Stokes

If the topic is an aggressive new defense, the secondary also deserves consideration. And what Jeff Hafley intends to do fits well what Stokes is best at. The cornerback played at a good level as a rookie in 2021, but injuries and a performance regression have affected his impact since.

In the offseason, Green Bay declined Stokes' fifth-year option , so he's entering a contract year . Based on what he has done in camp so far, it's getting clear that he will start opposite Jaire Alexander, and his performance in front of fans against the Packers deep wide receiver group can solidify his position in the starting lineup.
