Josh Jacobs' Packers Absence Gets Important Update

    By Quinn Allen,

The Green Bay Packers will be looking to make another deep run to the playoffs in '24 after recently signing QB1 Jordan Love to a historic contract extension. They also managed to add an important offensive piece in Josh Jacobs, the same running back who led the league in rushing just two years ago.

Jacobs joined the Packers as a free agent in March and has been healthy overall in camp, but he was absent during Saturday's practice due to a groin injury, via Zach Kruse of USA Today. However, the former Alabama standout is expected to return without any limitations on Tuesday.

Green Bay decided to release starter Aaron Jones earlier this year, and he ultimately joined the Minnesota Vikings. Replacing Jones with Jacobs is certainly a respectable move considering his production since coming into the league.

Jacobs ran for just 805 yards last season (3.5 yards per carry) but he's surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in nearly every campaign. His chemistry with Love will be key in just how far the Packers will go in '24.
