How The Green Bay Packers Can Get Off To Strong Start In 2024

After an excellent 2023 season for the Green Bay Packers, expectations are high for them coming into 2024. Recently, the Packers addressed the elephant in the room, as they were able to sign quarterback Jordan Love to a contract extension.

The new deal for Love will make him the highest-paid player in the league annually, and the Packers hope that he will continue to get better and lead them back to a Super Bowl.

With the preseason right around the corner, the Packers are preparing for the beginning of the season as they hope to set the tone for another strong year.

Recently, Bleacher Report spoke about the Packers’ start to 2024 and why they believe that Green Bay will get off to a hot start.

Here’s what they had to say.

“The Green Bay Packers are just now building the kind of continuity on offense that should sustain them for the foreseeable future. They gave Jordan Love a four-year contract extension after becoming the youngest team to make the playoffs in 1978 and brought back nearly all of that core.

Fortunately for them, the schedule shapes up to give them a runway to figure things out.

They open the season against the Eagles on the road, but Philadelphia will be breaking in a new offensive and defensive coordinator after last season’s collapse. After that, it’s the Colts, Titans, Vikings, Rams and Cardinals. There’s a case to be made that the young Packers should be a favorite in all those games.”

The Packers need to beat lesser opponents early on

The start of the season does appear to be favorable for the Packers. Going into the season, the Eagles will have some questions to answer after they fell apart in the second half of last season and then had a quick exit in the playoffs.

Following the Eagles, the Packers should be the favorites in the rest of their next five games. With the Detroit Lions likely being very good again this season, the Packers will want to get off to a hot start to challenge them for the NFC North.

While the season might be favorable for the Packers early on, it does get much tougher as the year progresses. If the Packers for some reason have a slip up early in the season, they will then need to win some tougher games later on.

Despite an easy schedule to start the season in the NFL, nothing is given, and the Packers will need to be ready every week.
