Green Bay Packers Head Coach Reveals Plans for the Preseason

    By Jake Rogers,

The Green Bay Packers are one of the more intriguing teams in the NFL as the preseason gets underway.

After finishing 9-8 and making it to the second round of the playoffs in their first season without Aaron Rodgers, head coach Matt LaFleur, franchise quarterback Jordan Love, and the team look poised to contend for a championship.

LaFleur recently appeared on “Up & Adams” and shared his preseason plan for his starters.

“We’re gonna play our guys at least in two of the three preseason games, if not more.”

It would be surprising to see LaFleur play his starters in all three preseason games, given the preseason’s lesser significance compared to the regular season.

However, LaFleur’s strategy might be to keep his key players both in rhythm and in good shape before the regular season kicks off on Sept. 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil.

He might play his starters in the first game, rest them in the second, and then play them in the final tune-up game before the regular season starts.

In any case, the starters will likely play limited portions of the games to stay healthy and fresh.

For example, Love may play anywhere from a single drive to a whole quarter but not the entire game.

All teams are cautious during the preseason, balancing preparation for the regular season with minimizing injury risks to their key players.

LaFleur has some intriguing decisions to make in the upcoming weeks.

The Green Bay Packers are expected to be a potential Super Bowl contender and fans can’t wait to get their first look at the team.
