GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The Fourth of July is looking like it’ll be another hot summer day and many will be outside for cookouts and events.

The city of Greenville is getting ready today for their celebration. Organizers say they’re working to make sure everyone stays cool.

“Standard here at the town Common Park, we’ve got the misters at our playground that everybody enjoys on a daily. We also have a bus that will come and we’ll be open to the public, a cooling bus. And so that will be closer to Holly Street near the playground area and anybody from the public, if they’re feeling hot, dizzy, step inside, they’re cool off,” said Megan Howard, Marketing and Special Events Coordinator for Greenville Recreation and Parks Department.

There will also be EMS crews from Greenville Fire and Rescue at the Town Common tomorrow. The event will begin at 3 p.m. on Thursday.
