    Greenville Police searching for high-speed chase escapee

    GREENVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) — The Greenville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a person who initiated a high-speed pursuit on Tuesday, July 2.

    According to a social media post by the department, they are looking for a silver 2008 Pontiac G6 that is similar to the picture below. The vehicle has an Ohio license plate number of KGF6880 and witnesses say the vehicle may have a black bumper.

    The vehicle fled from officers around 10:41 p.m. Tuesday after an officer initiated a traffic stop on report of a traffic violation in the area of Fort Recovery Road and Union Street.

    Following the pursuit, officers lost sight of the vehicle in the area of Coletown-Lightsville Road and Hillgrove Woodington Road.

    Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Patrol Officer Kreitzer or Detective Hawes at 937-548-1103.
