Teen reported missing in Sharon, last seen over one week ago
It's been over one week since a teen who was last seen in Sharon went missing and family members tell us they still have not received any updates. According to family, 14-year-old Paul "Pauly" Likens Jr. has been missing since Saturday, June 22. Family members tell us as of Monday, July 1, they still have not seen or heard from Likens.
Former caretaker accused of stealing nearly $10K from 99-year-old Brookfield man arrested in Sharon
A Farrell woman accused of taking money from a 99-year-old man will be brought to Trumbull County to face charges after her arrest in Sharon. Felicia Splitstone, 35, was arrested by Sharon police around 10:30 a.m. on June 28 and booked into the Mercer County Jail while awaiting extradition to Trumbull County.
Girard man gets three years in prison after pleading guilty to seventh OVI charge
The following criminal cases were handled June 27 before Judge Ronald J. Rice of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court:. James C. Schwendeman, 40, of East Second Street, Girard, was sentenced to a composite three-year prison term after he had pleaded guilty to his seventh OVI charge in May. Judge Rice also sentenced him to a probation violation for a 2020 OVI conviction. Scwendeman was also fined $1,350 and given a lifetime driver’s license suspension. The latest conviction sprang from a July 22, 2023, traffic stop in Girard.
‘You have no soul:’ Youngstown woman gets life sentence in Trumbull arson case
The final defendant in a Trumbull County arson death /aggravated murder capital case pleaded guilty on Friday and was sentenced to a life prison term immediately. Patricia A. Zarlingo, 29, of Youngstown, received a life prison sentence with first chance at parole after she serves 35 years in prison. She pleaded guilty to one count aggravated murder, two counts attempted aggravated murder, two counts aggravated arson, one count aggravated burglary and one count tampering with evidence.

BUTLER, Pa. — Friends, family and community members gathered once again Sunday inside the Butler Moose to support the families ofthree men killed in a June 8 crash. Ronald Parisi, 21, Joshua Boettner, 19, and Levi Deal, 17, were pronounced dead at the scene of a vehicle accident in Athens Township, Crawford County. State police say the vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree.
