    Popular Angie's Lobster Opens New Location in the Valley

    Few locally owned restaurant brands have made the same kind of inroads in such a short period as Angie’s Lobster (and its sister restaurants, Angie’s Prime and Angie’s Burgers). Offering customers an affordable opportunity to sink their teeth into a freshly prepared lobster roll, it’s not the kind of meal typically found in the Valley. It’s also not something you often find freshly prepared and with real lobster either. However, Angie’s Lobster continues to buck the trend as it expands throughout metro Phoenix, this time with an all-new location in Chandler

    Located at 4898 West Ray Road in Chandler, the all-new Angie’s Lobster takes the place of a former Wells Fargo (it’s right at the southeast corner of Ray and Rural, right next to Starbucks). The new Angie’s Lobster will feature the same menu as all the other locations. This includes the #1 Grilled Shrimp Roll, #2 Warm Lobster Roll, #3 Chilled Lobster Roll, #4 Spicy Honey Fried Shrimp Sandwich, #5 Fried Lobster Tail Sandwich, plus other goodies including the Warm Snow Crab Roll, Chilled Snow Crab Roll, and the Fried Cod Sandwich. 

    It is important to point out that, temporarily, the prices of lobster-based menu items have increased. Angie’s Lobster has said it is not a permanent price hike, as its goal is to keep everything as affordable as possible (more on this in a moment). However, lobsters currently are at an all-time high per pound, so the only way the restaurant could turn any kind of profit was to raise the cost. Once the price of lobster returns to normal, so too will the price. One of the main reasons why Angie’s Lobster has added subsequent menu items, such as cod, shrimp, and crab, is for those still looking for the most affordable option (a #2 Warm Lobster Roll mean costs $13.99 while a #4 Spicy Honey Fried Shrimp Sandwich meal costs $8.99). 

    The goal of Angie’s Lobster, as well as all other Angie’s brands, is to offer customers the most affordable meal possible. This is why the restaurant is drive-through only, does not offer paper receipts, and it is cash only. Angie’s Lobster also has its own connection with a Maine lobster wharf, so it does not have to pay a third-party seafood distributor at an inflated price. 

    The Chandler location is the latest opening of the brand, with another set to open in Tucson in the coming weeks.
