If you are a lover of pepperoni on your pizza you know not every pizza restaurant is created equal. There are those that skimp on the toppings, offering just enough to maybe give you a bite or two of pepperoni per slice. And then there are other pizza houses that load up the topping to the point you can’t even see the cheese or other ingredients on the pie. If that kind of pizza sounds like your kind of thing, there’s good news, because one pizza chain known for its overflowing offering of pepperoni (and other toppings) is opening a second location in Tucson.

Mountain Mike’s Pizza first opened in Palto Alto, California back in 1978. It quickly became a local favorite thanks to the healthy offering of toppings, all for an affordable price. Because people love their pizza Mountain Mike’s caught on and began spreading throughout California. Eventually, the brand expanded into other Pacific Coastal states. However, it didn’t move into Arizona until just a few years ago.

The first Mountain Mike’s Pizza opened by the Tucson Mall at 4362 North Oracle Road. As it grew in popularity the idea for a second Tucson location began to simmer. And now, after months of planning, an all-new location has opened on the east side at 6601 East Grant Road

If you long for the days of old when visiting Pizza Hut for the all-you-could-eat pizza lunch buffet was popular, you will love the pizza lunch buffet setup at Mountain Mike’s Pizza, which is available at the all-new location.

The menu includes the classic Pepperoni, which offers the chain’s quintessential curly pepperoni served all the way to the end of the crust (yes, the pepperoni is baked over the crust as well), as well as the Cheese pizza. Specialty pizzas include the All-American Cheeseburger (topped with ground beef, bacon, onions, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, dill pickles, and Thousand Island dressing to make it the Big Mac of pizzas), The Everest (pepperoni, Italian sausage, salami, linguica, beef, mushrooms, black olives, and bell peppers), and the Pikes Peak (loaded with pepperoni, Italian sausage, beef, salami, linguica, and ham).

Beyond the pizza menu, you can also order wings (Sticky Kogi, Kickin’ Korean BBQ, Frank’s Redhot, KC Masterpiece, Zesty Aloha, and Frank’s Redhout Stingin’ Honey Garlic), plus various sides, salads, and sandwiches.

Hungry to check out the all-new Mountain Mike’s Pizza? It is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 AM until 9 PM and on Friday and Saturday from 10 AM until 10 PM.
