MORGAN COUNTY–A 78-year-old Baileyton woman died after a multi-vehicle crash on Alabama 67 near Arab on Monday, according to ALEA Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey. At approximately 5:39 p.m., Brenda R. Reed was critically injured when the 1999 GMC Sonoma she was driving was struck by a 2017 Nissan Titan driven by Aaron S. Barnes, 34, of Gadsden.

According to the Arab Fire Department, they received the call around 7 p.m. and arrived at the scene along with Arab Police, Marshall Health Systems Ambulance, and Four-C Volunteer Fire Department.

Gadsden to conduct trial run with video messaging platform
The City of Gadsden is going to test drive another way of communicating directly with local residents. The City Council on June 25 approved a three-month trial run, at a cost of $500 per month, with Rep'd, which describes itself as “a video messaging and engagement platform for municipalities.”
