Local chefs face-off at Iron Caterer Throwdown

The eighth annual Iron Caterer Throwdown (ICT) — a local, “Chopped"- esque cooking competition — is back on Thursday, Aug. 1 at The 405 Venue + is presented by Social Latitude.

Four local chefs face-off and create three different dishes with three secret ingredients. They only have 20 minutes to concoct their culinary creations. Did we mention they’re doing this live in front of you?

What are the awards?

Each of the chefs will have the chance to win one of these awards, chosen by you:

• Best Presentation
• Most Creative
• Best Taste
• Most Entertaining
• Bonus: For the first time this year, there will be a special Judges Award

The chef with the highest overall score will be named the Iron Caterer 2024.

The lineup is fierce this year, and includes:

• Chef Michael Sibert of White Wine & Butter
• Chef Cima Mathur of Persis Biryani Grill
• Chef Jonathan Smiley of Embassy Suites Golf Resort and Conference Center
• Chef Addison Stone of The City Club

In addition to leaving with a full belly, you’ll also leave with a full heart. Each year, producers of ICT chose a local non-profit to give a portion of ticket sales + silent auction proceeds to. This year, they’ve chosen AMI Kids White Pines , which teaches disadvantaged youth trades they can use in their lives and future careers.
