NJ Family’s Summer Fun Interrupted By SINKHOLE In Front Yard
New Jersey has seen its fair share of natural disasters over the years. The scariest that comes to mind is, of course, Hurricane Sandy. It swept up the coastline in 2012 damaging so many homes in its path. Residents of the shore towns weren't even the only ones impacted by that storm. There was significant damage all the way out in the Philly suburbs of South Jersey, too.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above ordinance was introduced and passed at a Regular Meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Prospect Park on July 29th, 2024, and that said ordinance will be further considered for final passage at a meeting of the Borough Council to be held at the Municipal Council Chambers of the Prospect Park Municipal Building, 106 Brown Avenue, Prospect Park, Passaic County, New Jersey, on September 9th, 2024, at 6:00 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be reached, at which time and place all persons who may be interested will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning said ordinance. A copy of the ordinance in full may be requested at no charge from the Municipal Clerk’s Office during regular business hours. Developing Story: Undelivered Mail Found in Trash Dumpster in Nutley
NUTLEY, NJ - An eagle-eyed resident saw something, said something, then notified TAPinto Nutley about a situation that is now under federal investigation. On Tuesday, July 30, a resident spotted activity behind Abundant Life Academy on Washington Ave. Upon closer inspection, it was discovered that US Postal Inspectors were on the scene as mail was pulled from the dumpsters behind the school. Left behind were the dumpsters and piles of paper trash. Other items were taken by the inspectors. Tampering with the mail is a federal crime. The US Postal Inspector Service is a federal law enforcement agency. As this situation is currently being investigated, details are limited. Paterson getting $2M more for dangerous lead paint removal
PATERSON — The city is getting another $2 million in state funding to address the health problem of lead-based paint in homes. The Paterson Alliance nonprofit group on Monday announced that it was awarded the grant from the state’s Lead Remediation and Abatement Program.
