A New Brunswick man who sold large amounts of fentanyl to an undercover officer 16 times was convicted Monday, authorities said. Kenneth Strickland, 57, was found guilty following an eight-day trial of one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl and 100 grams or more of heroin, and five counts of distribution and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, the U.S. Attorney’s Office District of New Jersey announced Tuesday.

FAIR LAWN, NJ - The Borough has hired two new police officers, both Fair Lawn High School graduates, who will begin training at the Bergen County Police Academy tomorrow, August 1. Vincent Messina, 30, is a 2011 graduate of Fair Lawn High School. He was previously employed as a 911 telecommunicator with the Fair Lawn Police Department.
