    HALLSVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Hallsville man was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of driving drunk and causing a head-on crash.

Christopher Bower, 48, was arrested after his vehicle crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle on Frink Road, a Boone County Sheriff's Office spokesperson said. The other driver suffered injuries that were not life-threatening but was taken to a hospital for treatment, the sheriff's office says.

Bower was arrested on suspicion of DWI and being an aggravated offender, the sheriff's office says.

Charging information for Bower was not available in online court records. Bower posted bond and was released from the Boone County Jail, according to jail records.

Boone County Joint Communications issued a notification at 11:11 p.m. stating that Frink Road was closed near Highway 124 for a vehicle collision. The road was expected to be closed until after midnight, according to a Boone County Sheriff's deputy.

    Tow trucks arrived before midnight.
