Just in time for National Ice Cream Day: This is NJ’s favorite flavor
This will be some very welcome news for all of us dealing with the disgusting heat recently: July 21st is National Ice Cream Day!. Residents Set to Save Thousands – New Jersey is Freezing Property Taxes
Living in New Jersey is not cheap. That may be the understatement of the year. It's difficult to make ends meet on an "average" household income, let alone a senior income. According to Bankrate, in April of 2024, the typical New Jersey resident over the age of 65 was only pulling in $1776.73 per month.

Are you ready for the kids to go back to school yet?. Most of the New Jersey school districts don't return to the classroom until after Labor Day. Since it's required by the state for the school year to consist of at least 180 days, if the Garden State did decide to start school in mid-August, that would translate to an earlier start to summer break at the end of the school year. Sources claim it could potentially be a good thing because it would allow for high school students to focus on applying to colleges sooner.

The Northeast is home to 23 of the 50 wealthiest suburbs in the nation, according to an analysis released in July by a personal finance website. The Garden State is represented five times on the list from GOBankingRates, which looked at all cities with 5,000 or more households and isolated the 50 cities with the highest average household income.
