Eight local events were the recipients of grants designed to foster a welcoming and connected community in the Hanover area.

The grants, called "Welcoming Communities, Hanover," were created in 2023 by the Cultural Alliance of York County in partnership with Main Street Hanover and supported by the William J. Warehime Foundation, according to a press release by the Cultural Alliance of York County.

Any events in the greater Hanover area are eligible to receive the grants, including Littlestown, New Oxford, Abbottstown, Spring Grove and Hanover.
