Two people were injured, including a motorcyclist who was airlifted from the scene, after a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle Sunday afternoon in Penn Township.

Emergency crews were called to the scene of the crash in the intersection of Baltimore Street and Grandview Road in Penn Township around 1:10 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, according to York County 911 records.

The crash involved a motorcycle and a white sedan, and resulted in two injuries, said Hanover Area Fire & Rescue Captain Joe Wysocki.

A medical helicopter was landed near the scene, in a field next to Weis Markets, to airlift the seriously injured driver of the motorcycle, Wysocki said.

The occupant of the sedan sustained non-life threatening injuries, Wysocki confirmed.

Fire police shut down the intersection while police investigated the scene, with much of the traffic being rerouted around the scene through the parking area of the Grandview Plaza shopping center.
