LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The three heirs of Jamey Noel’s late brother William are trying to get money back after Indiana State Police said they were shorted. The heirs learned they were shorted at least $52,000 when ISP charged Noel with theft and released search warrants detailing how he sold their father’s home to his daughter, gifting her the $36,000 down payment. Now they’re trying to get the judge to reopen the estate, to possibly undo that sale.

New use of force policy takes place for Indiana officers
Police in Indiana now have to follow the same rules when it comes to using chokeholds on the job. The Indiana Law Enforcement Academy has established a new use of force policy stating that chokeholds can only be used in a situation in which serious bodily injury could happen to an officer. The Duke Energy Foundation is awarding a $20,000 grant to the South Central Community Action Program to provide support for low income families impacted by the storms that hit the Hoosier State June 25th. The Bloomington Based nonprofit, serves Monroe, Morgan, Owen, and Brown counties. Of the approximately 115,000 power outages across Duke Energy’s system from the storm, roughly half were in Monroe County.
