LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) — A Hanoverton man pleaded guilty this week to OVI charges after he was arrested and found to have multiple OVI charges in the past.

Ronald Smalley, 61, pleaded guilty to two counts of OVI and driving under suspension, with specification for forfeiture of a motor vehicle.

    Sentencing is set for September.

Smalley was arrested in April after he was stopped by the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) for speeding on Route 172 in Hanover Township.

A release from OSHP said Smalley failed field sobriety and blood alcohol tests.

OHSP said over the course of Smalley’s life, he has been arrested for OVI a total of seven times, with two previous felony OVI convictions.
