4th of July forecast went up in smoke
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The forecast for the Fourth of July went up in smoke as quickly as a firecracker with a short fuse. Anyone that saw the forecast expected rain in Sioux Falls and the surrounding areas Thursday morning. As we all know, that didn’t happen.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- Sioux Falls Mayor Paul Tenhaken is apologizing for a decision that threw a lot of folks’ Fourth of July plans into a tailspin. With stormy conditions in the forecast for the 4th, the decision was made to cancel the 2024 Independence Day celebration festivities- including the 5K Fun Run, parade, picnic, and afternoon entertainment.
