A female motorcyclist was sent for medical treatment this morning after a collision involving an SUV on 123/the Seneca-Clemson Corridor, in front of the Hartwell Village. Trooper Ridgeway said the accident around 10:30 occurred at the traffic light intersection. The motorcyclist was sent to the Greenville Memorial Hospital.

An Anderson man has been charged in the death of his wife, according to the Anderson County Sheriff's Office. According to Carrie Miller with the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, detectives with the ACSO charged Edwin Brainerd Jr., 79, of Anderson, with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
