Riordan was the Lady Aviators shortstop for the 2024, and led the team in almost every offensive category, hitting from the leadoff spot. She slugged a team high six home runs, led the team in runs scored (36), home runs (six), doubles (six) while batting .573 on the season, and had a team high .988 slugging percentage. She was second in triples with five, trailing sophomore catcher Giuliana Terranova.
Hasbrouck Heights' pitcher Madelyn Connelly broke the 100 strikeout mark as a freshman, striking out 115 on the season. She set a season high, striking out 12 against Becton Regional on May 17, and then striking out 10 against Garfield in just five innings. She finished with a 9-12 record and 3.88 earned run average.
Hasbrouck Heights resident Faith Camilleri was joined by fellow Immaculate Conception alumni Angela Lingelli and Jaden Farhat in leading Adelphia University to a 34-21 record, finishing their season in the Division II Super-Regionals with a loss to host team Wilmington.
The three college seniors were key to Adelphi’s success. Camilleri was a third team NE10 All Conference selection while playing first base. She was also named to the NE 10 Academic All-Conference team.
A power bat in the middle of the batting order, Camilleri hit .265 with four home runs and 26 runs batted in. The senior had career totals of 14 home runs and 99 runs batted in while appearing in 172 games over the last four seasons.
Farhat, from Carlstadt, hit .258 on the season, moving to third base from shortstop for her senior year. Through her senior season, she had 130 hits and a career .270 batting average while hitting four home runs.
Lingelli, also from Carlstadt, had her best year as a senior, being named the NE10 Defensive Player of the Year for the second time in her career. She was named NFCA All Region, and to the NE10 Al-Conference First Team as a catcher. She was also named to the NE10 Academic All-Conference Team.
She hit a career-high .323 and had a career-high .435 slugging percentage in 31 games for Adelphi.
