Bicyclist dies after colliding with SUV in Hellam Township: coroner

A man riding a bicycle died after a collision with a vehicle on Mt. Pisgah Road in Hellam Township, according to a York County Coroner news release.

The incident happened at about 10:15 a.m. Saturday morning, July 27.

"The helmeted adult male bicyclist was the sole rider, reportedly traveling westbound on Mt. Pisgah Road at Ducktown Road in Hellam Township when the bike impacted the side of an SUV that was pulling out to go east on Mt. Pisgah Road," read the news release.

The coroner pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The identity of the man has not yet been released, pending further notification of family.

The cause and manner of death are pending.

Hellam Township Police and state police are investigating the incident.
