North Platte Man found guilty of hitting woman in neck with machete
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - A North Platte man who struck a woman in the throat with a machete was found guilty in Lincoln County on Monday. Previously, Jahi Dumisani entered a not-guilty plea with the defense of insanity. The defendant has schizophrenia, and his lawyer claims that he was having an episode during the time of the incident.

Nebraska receiving $307M as part of EPA $4.3 billion funding to reduce climate pollution
The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy will receive $307 million to boost “climate-smart” agriculture and reduce agricultural waste from livestock, officials said. The grant also will fund projects to improve energy efficiency in commercial and industrial facilities and low-income households, as well as deploy solar panels and electrify irrigation wells.
