North Platte Public Schools Board of Education discuss 2024-25 budget
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The North Platte Public Schools Board of Education met for the first time Tuesday morning to discuss the budget for the 2024-25 school year. Members of the Board met for budget 1.0 to discuss a variety of topics in the district. This gave the Board an opportunity to determine where they want to be regarding property taxes.

Nutt Named Post-Secondary Teacher of the Year
Cathy Nutt has been named the 2024 Post-Secondary Teacher of the Year by the Mountain-Plains National Business Education Association. The Post-Secondary Teacher of the Year recognition is bestowed upon NBEA members who spend at least .50 full-time equivalent teaching business education and who have made additional outstanding contributions in business education beyond the classroom at the community, state and or national levels.
New Online Bookstore to Lessen Financial Burden on MPCC students
North Platte, Neb. – Mid-Plains Community College to partner with BibliU to offer an online bookstore for students beginning in the fall. “Students will have the same opportunity to purchase physical books through the new online bookstore,” said MPCC President Ryan Purdy. “BibliU offers more opportunities for price matching which would guarantee the most affordable price.”
