Scam alert: Jefferson County Library notifies residents of fraudulent email
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. — The Jefferson County Library is alerting residents to a potential scam email. In a July 2 email to library cardholders, staff at the Jefferson County Library said they have become aware of an email scam that looks like an overdue notice coming from the library.
3-year-old killed in early morning crash on I-55 in Jefferson County
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A 3-year-old boy from Tennessee died following an early Sunday morning single-vehicle crash in Jefferson County. The crash happened at 4:40 a.m. on northbound Interstate 55 at mile marker 168, just south of Selma. The 3-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A 1-year-old boy was seriously injured and airlifted to a hospital. A 23-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man were also seriously injured and were taken by ambulance to a hospital.
