Quad City Animal Welfare Center Presents Wags And Tales Reading Event
Wags & Tales Reading Event – Join the QCAWC at The Atlas Collective, located at 1801 5th Avenue in Moline, IL, for the Wags & Tales Reading Event from 10 AM to 12 PM. A dedicated QCAWC Team Member will be reading “Not My Cat” by Stacey Patton and “Let’s Get a Pup! Said Kate” by Bob Graham. This event promises a delightful experience for children and families, with a special guest appearance by a shelter animal ready to meet and greet attendees. In addition to the story time, the QCAWC will have coloring pages for the kids to enjoy and valuable shelter and clinic information for families to take home. Food Truck Fight to take over The Rust Belt this weekend
EAST MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) - The countdown is on for the return of Food Truck Fight Quad Cities. The event will include all of the same things attendees know and enjoy about the event, like mouth-watering food from local and regional food trucks, live music, and drinks, but this year, it’ll just be in a different location.

Adoptable 4-Legged Friends: Meet “Heimdall”
GENESEO, Ill. (KWQC) -Kristen VerStraete from the Henry County Humane Society-Geneseo Chapter, introduces viewers to a long-haired cat named Heimdall that needs a new home. The feline came to the shelter after a concerned community member that had reported spotting a cat that had been hit by a car. A vet determined that one leg had to be amputated. He has since recovered and is ready for a fur-ever happy ending.
Dirty Honey adds tour dates to support ‘Can’t Find the Brakes’ album
Dirty Honey has announced a U.S. tour, marking the final dates in support of their Can’t Find the Brakes album. The outing runs from Sep. 13 in East Moline, Illinois, to Nov. 2 in Highland, California. Presales begin Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time; tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
REVIEW: 84 Charing Cross Road at Richmond Hill Players Barn Theatre

It began on Thursday at Geneseo’s Richmond Hill Players with its production of 84 Charing Cross Road, an adaptation by James Roose-Evans of Helene Hanff’s memoir of the same name. The group has been going strong since 1957 when the founders set out to promote art in the community and provide a place for display and instruction. Over the years, the league has grown and added a lot more fun to the itinerary.
WIU raising money for Museum Studies lab renovation
Western Illinois University is undertaking a Museum Studies Lab Renovation Project on the Quad Cities campus in Moline. It has recently received significant funding totaling $21,500, from the Hunt and Diane Harris Fund at the Quad Cities Community Foundation, and the Shepherd B. Runge Memorial Endowment Fund at the QCCF as well.
