WINDSOR HEIGHTS, Iowa (FOX 9) - A storm sent debris flying into traffic in Windsor Heights, Iowa, on Monday as a tornado moved through the region. Kevin Grimes captured video on his dashcam of the scene while he drove through the storm. Footage of the chaos shows downed trees, damaged street signs, power flashes and captured the sound of tornado sirens.

A big storm moved across central Illinois on Monday night, bringing broad and severe destruction. The 70 mph wind gusts produced the storm resulted in major harm to trees, electricity lines, and houses. On Tuesday morning, residents found tree limbs strewn about their yards and streets. It was an incredible weather event yesterday. Our entire area, at one point or another, was under a tornado warning, and I can’t remember if that’s ever happened before.
