DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Police are sending out a warning about an eye-catching drug found in the form of pink-dyed powder. The Douglasville Police Department (DPD) says the drug is called “Tusi,” also known as pink-dyed powder cocaine. They say it comes in powdered and tablet form.
Marietta Woman Accused of Stealing from Home Depot
Elizabeth Annie Barbosa, 19, of Marietta, is accused of stealing $2,829 in cash from cash registers at the end of her shift as an employee of Home Depot on July 9 at 6:04 p.m. at the 449 Roberts Court location in Kennesaw, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department. Barbosa admitted to taking the cash over a two-week time period and there is video footage of the theft, according to the warrant. Barbosa is charged with theft by taking – greater than $1,500. She was arrested on July 9 at 6:33 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records. Barbosa was released on a $2,500 bond.
Woman killed in three-vehicle pileup on Dallas Highway

Woman Accused of Butcher Knife Attack at Motel 6
Madison Jackson, 19, of Marietta, is accused of slashing a person's forearm with a butcher knife, causing a laceration, on July 8 at the Delk Road Motel 6 in Marietta. A juvenile who was about four feet away in the motel room witnessed the incident, according to an arrest warrant from the Marietta Police Department. Jackson is charged with aggravated assault weapon; and cruelty to children – third degree. She was arrested on July 8 at 3 a.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records. Jackson remains in custody, without bond and on a hold from the Byron Police Department.
Marietta Man Charged with Vehicular Homicide
Daniel Hunt, 28, of Marietta, is accused of operating a maroon/brown 2019 Ram 1500 Classic in a reckless manner that caused a crash with the victim’s vehicle on June 20 at 4:50 p.m. at the intersection of Barrett Parkway and Village Greene in Marietta. Hunt is also accused of doing 68 mph in a 45 mph zone, which was too fast for the evening traffic and limited visibility caused by the curves in the road, according to an arrest warrant from the Marietta Police Department. ...
Marietta Man Accused of Intent to Murder
Raheem Ojawon Demetrius Sheats, 25, of Marietta, is accused of spending two minutes trying to kick open the door to a victim’s hotel room while armed with a silver revolver at 2:50 a.m. on July 8 at the Budgetel Inns & Suites – Atlanta Galleria Stadium, 4900 Circle 75 Parkway in Atlanta, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department. Sheats is charged with loiter prowl; criminal trespass damage; and aggravated assault – intent to murder. He was arrested on July 8 at 2:30 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records. Sheats remains in custody without bond.
