A Deli Franchise is Building a New Location in Holland

The empty building that was once a Steak n’ Shake has found a new tenant. Southern Rock Restaurants , the biggest multi-unit franchisee for McAlister’s Deli, has purchased the property at 2288 N. Park Drive last month. McAlister’s corporate has confirmed the rumor about the upcoming location, according to a Holland Sentinel story republished by Yahoo Finance .

Southern Restaurant Development , the development company for the licensed McAlister’s franchisee Southern Rocks Restaurants, purchased the property for $1,275,000 on Dec. 18, although no permits or plans have been filed.

Established by David Blackburn , Southern Rock Restaurant is based in Franklin, Tennessee and operates over 150 McAlister’s Deli restaurants throughout thirteen states, including Tennessee, Mississippi, Missouri, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Ohio, Illinois, Virginia and Pennsylvania. Mcalister’s Deli launched nearly three decades ago and has eight locations in Michigan. Southern Rock Restaurants operates four of the Michigan locations, including the only West Michigan restaurant in Wyoming. Currently, no specific project timeline is available for the upcoming Holland location. What Now Detroit reached out to Southern Rock Restaurant, but a representative was not available for comments.
