Hollister man federally indicted for April store robberies
A Hollister man was indicted in federal court last week on charges linked to the robberies of a Family Dollar store twice in April. Count one charges that Lorne J. Lynch robbed the store located at 60 Evans Road in Hollister by means of actual and threatened force on April 5 and in count two it charges he committed the same crime the following day.
Mom jailed after her baby, toddler left alone in Roanoke Rapids, police say
ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. (WNCN) — A Roanoke Rapids mom took her boyfriend to work Saturday night but left her baby and toddler alone, police said. The incident was discovered around 9:30 p.m. when a 3-year-old child was spotted walking through the parking lot of a housing complex along East Littleton Road, according to a news release from the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.

A Henrico homeowner shot at someone who allegedly was attempting to enter the person’s home shortly after 6 a.m. July 14, according to Henrico Police. The incident happened in the 4700 block of Greenleigh Road.
