A sewer spill has been impacting Rocky Mount residents for nearly a week. This comes one week after another spill in the exact same spot. The city of Rocky Mount said on Facebook that the spill started on the morning of Aug. 8 at a manhole under the trestle on River Side Drive. Multi-county high-speed chase ends with suspect crashing into fence
A wild, high speed chase came to an end in Harnett County when a driver crashed into a chain link fence.It started when a trooper attempted to stop a speeding car on I-40 in Johnston County, according to highway patrol.The chase continued onto I-95 south, exiting at Jonesboro Road towards the City of Dunn.The driver went off the road in a curve, went through a private parking lot, and crashed into a chain link fence before coming to a full stop in a backyard.The driver was arrested and not injured. Fayetteville Counselor Pleads Guilty to Fraud
Valerie Ann Sinclair of Fayetteville has pleaded guilty to 21 counts of obtaining property by false pretenses in Moore County Superior Court. Judge Regina M. Joe ordered Sinclair to surrender her clinical mental health counselor supervisor license and pay $71,046.04 in restitution to the North Carolina Medicaid program. She also sentenced Sinclair to 60 months of supervised probation and required Sinclair to immediately serve 90 days of confinement.
