Kehlani’s former partner, Javaughn Young-White , has issued a new statement. This time to apologize over the wild claims made against the singer and the mother of his child.

As previously reported, Javaughn recently filed for full custody of their 5-year-old daughter, Adeya Nomi, which came as a surprise to many. However, it was the court documents that sparked significant concern.

He wrote, “Adeya was born through a home birth orchestrated by what I would describe as a cult that she belongs in. Due to the fact that Adeya was born in a home and not in a conventional setting like a hospital, my name is not on Adeya’s birth certificate.” He also alleged that the cult group controls Kehlani’s actions and their behavior “including when it comes to the upbringing of our daughter.” These alarming assertions drew unwanted attention to Kehlani and her family. Acknowledging the seriousness of his claims, Javaughn Young-White appears to be attempting to clarify the situation.

“On August 6th, the public became aware of court documents that were submitted without my approval by my former representation. These documents contained general recollections from my initial consultation with my aforementioned rep. They were filed with choice language I didn’t okay. I regret they were included.”

He continued, “As a father, I could never have anticipated that such serious allegations would be so careless. I still believe my alarm was proportionate to the information I received from the trusted parties. However, I deeply regret and apologize for any role I played in perpetuating these claims. I hope Priest Neto, his family, and affected members of the church receive just restoration. I am looking forward to continuing the advocacy of my child’s wellbeing.”

In his first statement Javaughn Young-White denied accusing Kehlani of being in a “sex cult.” Kehlani has since issued a statement of her own. She said,

“I strongly deny any claims that I have put my child in harm’s way, or left my child alone with anyone deemed dangerous or unsafe,” Kehlani wrote on her Instagram Story. “I also do not align with any of the allegations made against my former religious community that have been stated in the media.”

“What has been published in the media over the past 24 hours is incredibly hurtful, inaccurate, and simply untrue,” the statement continued. “I wanted to take the time to ensure that I responded to these accusations from a calm and considered space rather than a reactive one.”

She continued, “I have always taken great care to ensure that my child remains protected and safe at all times. My child and my commitment to motherhood have always been my sole driving forces in this life and will always remain so. This is who I am and what I have always been focused on. I will not be commenting further and will let the legal due process take place.”
