    Olympic Cyclist Daniela Larreal Chirinos Reportedly Found Dead In Las Vegas Apartment ‘After Chocking On Food’

    Venezuelan cyclist Daniela Larreal Chirinos , who had a great career spanning five Olympic Games from 1992 to 2012, has tragically passed away.

    Reports indicate that Larreal was found deceased in her apartment after apparently choking on her food. At the time of her death, the retired athlete was working as a waitress at a hotel but failed to report for her shift on Friday, August 12.

    An investigation into her sudden passing revealed that Larreal died from asphyxiation. According to Fox Sports, a post-mortem examination found remnants of solid food in her windpipe, which suggest she choked to death. The Clark County Office of the Coroner has yet to officially announce the cause and manner of her death.

    Daniela Larreal Chirinos is a distinguished figure in Venezuelan athletics, best known for her incredible achievements in cycling. She represented Venezuela in numerous international competitions, including the Olympic Games. Over her career, Larreal excelled in both road cycling and track cycling, garnering significant success in regional competitions such as the Pan American Games.

    Throughout her decorated career, she was celebrated for her exceptional speed and endurance, solidifying her status as a prominent athlete in Venezuelan cycling. Larreal represented her country in the Summer Games in Barcelona (1992), Atlanta (1996), Sydney (2000), Athens (2004), and most recently, London (2012).

    In the wake of her passing, the Venezuelan Olympic Committee has paid tribute to Larreal’s “great career” through social media. In a post on the platform X, the committee remarked, “With an outstanding career in track cycling, she managed to represent us with honor in five Olympic Games, accumulate four Olympic diplomas, and achieve triumphs that always filled us with immense pride.”
